Welcome to EchoForge Studios
If you’re reading this, you’re here at the very beginning — and that means a lot.
EchoForge Studios is a one-person indie game studio. I’m Bruno, and I’m building browser-based games that you can play instantly — no downloads, no app stores, no friction. Just click a link and you’re in.
Why EchoForge?
I’ve spent over 15 years in tech, leading teams that build and ship products at scale. Somewhere along the way, I started building games on the side — first as a creative outlet, then as something more serious. EchoForge Studios is the result of that evolution.
The name “EchoForge” comes from two ideas: the echo of classic games that shaped how I think about design, and the forge — the process of building something from raw materials, one system at a time.
What’s First
The first game is EchoQuest — a procedurally generated dungeon-crawling RPG with pixel art visuals. The very first playable version just went live today. It’s early: you can explore a map, fight enemies, earn XP, and level up. That’s about it for now. But the foundation is there, and I have big plans.
The roadmap ahead includes character classes, equipment, cloud saves, quests, multiplayer, and a whole lot more. The goal is to build something with real depth — a game that keeps pulling you back for one more run.
I also have ideas for a second game — something faster-paced, more action-oriented. But that’s down the road. One thing at a time.
The Plan
Here’s what I want EchoForge to be:
- Browser-first — every game plays instantly on any device, no installs
- Built in the open — this blog will document the process: the wins, the bugs, the design decisions, all of it
- Shaped by players — I’m starting a Discord community where feedback directly shapes what gets built next
- Indie to the core — no publishers, no compromises, just good games
Follow Along
This blog will be the place for development updates, behind-the-scenes looks at how the games are built, and studio news. If you’re into indie games, browser games, or just want to follow along as a solo developer tries to build something meaningful — welcome. The journey starts now.
