Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the EchoForge Studios website (echoforge.games) or any of our games, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Use of Our Games and Website

Our games are provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You may play our browser-based games freely, subject to these terms. You agree not to:

Use bots, scripts, or automation tools to interact with our games in unintended ways.
Exploit bugs or glitches for unfair advantage. If you discover a bug, we encourage you to report it.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers, accounts, or systems.
Harass, abuse, or harm other players in any community spaces we operate.

Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account with EchoForge Studios. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Some of our games (such as EchoQuest) may require or offer user accounts. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, including for violations of these terms, harmful behavior, or any conduct we determine to be detrimental to our community or services.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website and in our games — including but not limited to code, artwork, music, text, logos, and game design — is the property of EchoForge Studios and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

User Content

If you submit feedback, bug reports, or other content to us (via email, Discord, or other channels), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve our games and services. We will not publicly attribute your feedback without your permission.

Availability and Changes

Our games and website are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted availability of any game or service, nor do we guarantee the preservation of game progress, saved data, or virtual items. We may update, modify, or discontinue any game or feature at any time without notice. We do our best to communicate major changes through our Discord community and website.

Purchases & Premium Content

Some games offer optional purchases, downloadable content (DLC), expansions, or premium features, sold and distributed through Steam. All such purchases are processed by Valve and are subject to Steam's Subscriber Agreement and Steam's Refund Policy. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Where supported, entitlements you purchase on Steam may unlock corresponding features across the Steam and web versions of a game.

Virtual Goods & Content License

EchoQuest and certain other games include virtual items, in-game currency, titles, cosmetics, expansion packs, season passes, and other digital content (collectively, “virtual goods”). When you obtain virtual goods, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use them within the game — you do not own them.

Virtual goods have no real-world or monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may not be sold, traded outside the game, or transferred between accounts except where we expressly permit in-game.
We may modify, balance, suspend, replace, or remove virtual goods, features, or game content at any time, including for game-balance, technical, or operational reasons.
Your license to virtual goods is tied to your account. If your account is terminated for violating these terms, or if a game or service is discontinued, any virtual goods, subscription time, and progress may be forfeited without refund.

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to any account, game, or service at our reasonable discretion, including for violations of these terms, fraud or chargebacks, cheating or exploitation, harmful conduct toward other players, or activity that is unlawful or detrimental to our community or services. You may stop using our services and request deletion of your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). On termination, the licenses granted to you end and virtual goods, purchased entitlements, and premium content may be forfeited as described above. Refunds following termination for cause are not provided except where required by law.

Limitation of Liability

EchoForge Studios and its games are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EchoForge Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or games, including but not limited to loss of data or game progress.

Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or your use of our games and services shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You agree that any dispute resolution will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, consolidated action, or representative action. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
